Daniel Webb

 

 

 

Born in North Wales in 1975, Daniel read Music at Cambridge University, where he was Organ Scholar of Magdalene College and the John Stewart of Rannoch Scholar in Sacred Music. He began his teaching career in the music department of Wycliffe College in Gloucestershire before becoming Assistant Director of Music at St Paul's Girls' School, a post he held for five years. He has moved back to London from Dorset, where he has been on the staff of Bryanston School, to become Director of Music at South Hampstead High School as well as the new Director of Music at St Peter's, Ealing.

Daniel is an experienced church musician and has overseen the music in a number of London churches, most recently at St Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park. He is also an accomplished singer, serving for a year as a Tenor Gentleman in the choir of the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace, and he has sung with Salisbury Cathedral Choir as a Deputy Lay Clerk.

Following an abortive career change in his late twenties, Daniel is also a fully qualified - but non-practising - barrister. His legal training saw him awarded a Diplock Scholarship by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and, following pupillage in clinical and professional negligence, he spent some time practising in the competition law department of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Brussels.
