St Peter’s Mission Giving
A map of the world in St Peter’s shows the countries where we support mission and development projects.

We have particularly close links with the Sudanese Development Programme and a school built and equipped in Southern Sudan, founded by Father Joseph Choufar. We also have a link with St Luke’s Eye Hospital in Ngene, Nigeria, built by the Revd Professor Erasmus Oji who lives in Ealing but makes frequent visits to the hospital to carry out operations. St Peter’s has helped to equip the operating theatre and our ongoing support buys such things as replacement lenses for eyes.
One of our church families comes from Freetown in Sierra Leone. As the Church of England publishes new service books, the older books are shipped to Freetown for use in St George’s Cathedral.
Each May, we take part in fundraising during Christian Aid Week; this helps to support relief work with some of the world’s poorest people.
Closer to home, we support the Upper Room in Acton, a centre offering meals, advice and other services to local homeless people. As part of our annual Harvest Thanksgiving, we send food, toiletries, clothing and money to the centre.
Every year, members of the church suggest charities for us to support; some of these are shown on the world map mentioned above.
