Baptism and Confirmation

Baptism is one of the principal sacraments of the Christian Church. St Peter's Church welcomes enquiries from parents wishing to have their child baptised.

Unbaptised adults coming into the church are baptised by the bishop at a service of Baptism and Confirmation. Confirmation services tend to be organised in July as part of our Dedication Festival celebrations. Classes run post Easter until the confirmation service and are planned for adults and children as required. The Vicar is happy to discuss what Christian baptism and confirmation represents and whatever practical questions may arise.
