Dear St Peter’s and friends,
It is with great sadness we note the death of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. We offer our deepest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen, Prince Charles and all members of the Royal Family.
Prince Philip was truly one of a kind whose strength and fortitude, his stability and uprightness has been an example to so many for so many generations. We are sure he will be very much missed in the life of our nation.
St Peter’s Church will be open Monday to Friday, 9am until 12 noon for private prayer. We are instructed not to offer the opportunity of signing a physical book of condolence at the church as part of COViD restrictions. We are all encouraged to offer our condolences and words of sorrow and support on line at https://www.churchofengland.org/media-and-news/news-releases/condolence-book-hrh-prince-philip-duke-edinburgh-opens-online
Once we are clear on the national response, we will announce how we, at St Peter’s, will mark Prince Philip’s passing. We ask you to keep Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal family in your prayers at this most difficult time.
With my love and prayers,
Fr David
The Revd David Neno
Vicar of St Peter's Church, Ealing
