Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones

St Peter's values the children of its congregation as full members of the church community. Stepping Stones helps the children to understand how much God loves them, teaches them the Christian story through a variety of interesting and enjoyable activities, nurtures them in the Christian Faith, and shows them that they are full and valued members of the Church.

Stepping Stones meets during the main Sunday morning service in term time. Each Sunday's session has a theme, based on the Sunday readings, the season of the Church's year, or a particular aspect of the Christian faith.

Children go out to Stepping Stones, which takes place in the Church Hall, shortly after the beginning of the service. They then rejoin the main congregation until the end of the service so that they can be in Church for the Peace, Eucharistic Prayer, Communion and Blessing.

Children aged four years upwards are very welcome to join us.

Stepping Stones is suspended until further notice, but please join us for Gemstones.
